The Army Officers' Spouses' Club of the Greater Washington Area (AOSCGWA) is a non-profit organization seeking to enrich the quality of life of Soldiers, Family Members, and DA Civilians in the Military District of Washington community.
We offer friendship, special activities, and volunteer opportunities. There are Zip Code Groups to make it easier to connect to the military spouses who live near you. Our volunteers organize monthly luncheons, fun activities, and share information about unique opportunities available in the Washington D.C. area.
Funds are raised through our Ways and Means and other activities in order to provide scholarships, community grants, and support our military community. Come join our team. We can't wait to meet you!
Mark your calendars for these upcoming events -
Welcome to the D.C. area and to AOSCGWA – the Army’s spouse club! The club was established at Fort Myer in 1974, and has a long history of service within the military community. This year we continue the tradition with service projects, fundraisers for military connected organizations, and scholarships. It is not all work. We have a good time, learn a thing or two, and most importantly build life-long friendships. Our club is unique, with members from across all of the Army’s components. They range in age from their twenties to their eighties and beyond. We are very proud of the longevity of many of our members and value the wisdom and mentorship they provide. We also have many International Spouses, who represent countries from across the world and spouses from the other services.
You are eligible to become a member of AOSCGWA and participate in all events and activities if you are a spouse of an accredited attache (Defense, Military, Air Force, Naval) or assistant attache assigned to embassies in Washington DC; (OR) a spouse of a foreign officer assigned to duties in the National Capital Region.READ MORE
